With the hustle and bustle of today’s lifestyles it’s not always easy to get in for 90 minutes for a yoga practice. We have been talking to you, our students, researching the industry, and talking with other studios, both those inside and outside of the Bikram world, and a common theme we hear is that “we love the practice but just do not have time for a 90 minute class”. While we believe and have practiced the 90 minute sequence for many years, we understand the reality of everyone’s busy lives.
We are committed to being a Bikram Yoga studio that provides the original 90 minute class of 2 breathing exercises and 26 postures as our core class. We feel so good about what we do, and we feel confident that we have great Instructors who communicate clearly how to practice these postures and what the benefits are for everyone.
We love everything Bikram! And we know that many, many people of you in the Lake Norman Area agree – we have a great service that heals bodies and minds! We want our yoga community to grow and prosper for many years to come and realize that we need to provide alternatives for students. And, we want to remove as many barriers as we can so that more people can practice with us and experience, like you, this wonderful healing form of yoga.
Bikram60… Our new 60-MINUTE CLASS FORMAT
Here’s how we are introducing Bikram60:
We will offer a 60-minute class format for you to try. Although the benefits are best when people are able to complete two sets of each pose in the series, we acknowledge that at times, ninety minutes is simply not possible for many people.
Bikram60 will offer two sets of most postures and one set of some postures. The postures and savasanas will be shorter in duration with a slightly faster pace. We will be experimenting with the heat but most likely be not as hot given the faster pace (i.e. using more internally body heat given the faster pace).
We believe this class will best suited for:
• Students with a regular practice than need a short class
• Students who have a general understanding of the series and postures
• Students wanting to augment other athletic endeavors
• Students wanting a shorter exposure to the hot room
• Students wanting to practice more often
We are introducing this class format during the following classes:
Tuesday, March 24th from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
Wednesday, March 25th from 9:30 am – 10:30 am
Thursday, March 26th from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
Wednesday, April 1st from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Thursday, April 2nd from 9:30 am – 10: 30 am.
We want as many students to try this format so that we can get your feedback about incorporating this format into our regular schedule. We are offering a $12.00 drop in special for each of these 5 classes, or use your class pass! Come and try out a class!
