Every Bikram Yoga class consists of a series of 26 postures and two breathing exercises performed for 90 minutes in a room heated to at least 105 degrees and 40% humidity. Each posture is done twice to allow you to work deeply into the muscles and joints to strengthen your body an improve mobility. This series was designed to systematically work your entire body from the inside out. The instructors are certified to teach these postures and have gone through extensive training to safely teach with precision so that you get the maximum benefit from every class. Bikram Yoga is not about how you look or how deep you can go into each posture, it’s about trying the right way each time you come to class to get the maximum healing benefits. Listen to your teacher’s instruction, and do not modify the postures unless otherwise instructed by your teacher.
